Few steps to properly prepare a car for shipping:
- Wash your car.
- Take photos of existing damage, or mark them down.
- Remove valuable products(GPS, Money, after market and custom products, etc.).
- Remove or secure loose parts.
- Maintenance check before shipment (repair any leaking or mechanical issues).
- Empty gas tank to 1/4.
- Prepare extra set of keys for driver.
- Retract or remove the antenna.
- If the car is convertible make sure to close the top as tightly possible.
Door-to-Door service is provided by most auto transport companies. The transport company will pick up and deliver your vehicle as close as possible to your door . Most semi-trucks and trailers can’t easily access in some residential streets and apartment communities. If possible, work out an easily accessible parking lot to load or unload your car with your provider in advance. Please, be flexible with your time frame, and ensure that either you or your authorized representative is available to release your car to the driver.
